It is done!

Today was the day, and I'm happy to report that I completed my third Portland Marathon. I managed to sneak in under 5 hours, with an official race time of 4:53:58, while my training partner Amanda had a PHENOMENAL race and finished in 3:58! Go girl! The weather was perfect; it did not rain but stayed wonderfully overcast and cool throughout the race. My knees felt tight but did not get as sore as they have in the past. My wonderful friends Tye, Robin, Audrey & Lucas came out with Trask & Alec to cheer me on at the end and were able to take some post-race celebration pictures, which was good since the batteries in our camera died after Trask took only a couple of photos. More soon....I'm tired right now, and about to go out for a nice dinner and a glass of wine, after which I will fall into a deep, wonderful slumber....before heading out to another 12 hour day at work. YAY!
